Kenwood TS-480sat needs repair.

I was going to send the radio to Kenwood service center east. Radio lost power and is putting out less then 2 watts on all modes. Final ? Any other suggestions on repair locations.
 

Yeah thanks Rob did that and went over the radio with two good meters and a dummy load.
I would check to see if you did a full reset again. Been there; done that. Found that after I did the full rest twice that the output power was once again restored. Remember, that these radios will fold back power when faced with a bad load until it is corrected. Check your load out - too . . .

I did the full reset but I can try it again. and see what happens, It would be nice if if works this time.
 
Just curious...I'm assuming the factory reset procedure for the both of the TS-480xx series transceivers are the same, but how is this performed?

My friends 480 HX won't power up even though the main fuse is good. He's suspecting the power switch circuitry. He said it's not a simple mechanical on-off switch on the front panel?
