Do they make a quick release ferrule for the whip? I'd like to be able to quickly remove/swap the whip
You got these types CB shops and some truck stops sell. You'll need a set for each whip if you want fast change out.Do they make a quick release ferrule for the whip? I'd like to be able to quickly remove/swap the whip
You'll be more than amazed by increased TX/RX signals on 40 & 80m.I'm definitely interested in the MFJ telescopic whip for parked operation.
I got the 56" loading up good on 80/40 now. I don't like losing 6 meters. I've been making a few contacts mobile lately. I also use our local repeater. Oh well, I'm satisfied with 80/40, as that's the majority of where I'm going to operate.
6 meters is cool, but it's even cooler mobile. Maybe I can rig up a quick whip change.

I just carry 2 wrenches (main wrench and backup) and can change whips just about as quick.
