Meter bulb cobra 148 GTL

My meter doesn't light on my cobra 148 and I was wondering can you replace the meter bulb on a 148 gtl and can I get the bulb at an auto parts store?

Radio Shack should have what you need , take the one out you have and take it down with you ,12 volts ....you'll know it when you see it.

Use a white LED instead! (or blue, or red, etc)

I agree with Master Chief. Get a high-brightness LED (2000 MCD or higher) and use it instead. Just be sure to use a resistor of 560 ohms or so inline with it. It should last you 20 years or more, in theory.
