yeah i know, its a long shot ,
but the schemo i downloaded for the ftdx560 is close
but doesnt match at all for the agc circuit

would prefer the entire manual , or schematic

but most specifically a diagram for the agc circuit would be very helpful

thanks

After thinking about it some more I realized that the noise blanker circuit and AGC circuit work together. It sounds like you and I have the same kind of luck. The only differance in the radios is the area where you have no documentation. Murphy strikes again.

i did some more poking around and found a schemo for the ftdx505

it matches perfectly !!!!!
shows the agc circuit exactly as its laid out on the board , and the rest
of the diiagrams , seem to match the radio perfectly
only difference is higher voltage to the final stage
and the final tubes ,
guess that's how they figgered theyd get 570 watts at full tilt boogie
i'll never run it at that , it will cook the finals over time
but i figure it should play very nicely at around 250 watts
and i'll have that nice valve sound
im sure ill have a few more issues b4 its completely restored
but thats life with Boat anchors

mybe this was an endrun model , and they were trying to get rid of
leftover parts and module boards

hard to say since this rig was built over forty years ago,
but it does seem evident i have the info i need

hopefully have it wrapped up and functional here in the next couple of weeks
