I have a good working RCI 2970dx.
All of a sudden I cant turn off the Roger Beep. I have tried hitting the button with no results. The display is working and I can see it going on and off through the display. However, even when the display shows that it is off, in actually, it is on and working. Has anyone seen this and know the fix?
Thanks,
G

Pretty much all it can be is that the switch has gone bad. Go into the radio and see if the physical body of the switch has any openings in it. If it does, you can try spraying some Contact Cleaner into it. That's about all you can do. No worky? Replace switch.

good luck

If the display is showing a change of state then the switch is likely good. My guess is that the switching transistor that actually turns the beep on/off is toast. Not sure of the part number at the moment.
