i got one of these radios the other day on a trade. after trying it out for a couple weeks i am very impressed. 40w pep on am and 45-50pep on ssb. no drift and packed with features. helluva deal for 200 peaked and tuned!!

There are quite a few mods that can be done to those radios....Nice rigs for sure

Yup, my son has one it blows smoke for sure, really happy with this unit!

i have heard i was blowing smoke with this thing. this morning on the interstate it was pretty quiet and i asked for a radio check. i got someone in the distance 25 miles away from me. he said i was doing a good deal, must have a good antenna and box matched perfect. he was shocked when i told him i didnt even have my box yet in the truck although a 10k is a great addition to this radio.
