I've got a couple old 2m HTs and need to rebuild the packs.
The first is a Kenwood TH-21BT and its pack takes six AAA cells. The problem I have is that the battery box does not have the metal contacts, but the box is molded to have them. I'm just having a tuff time trying to bend up some copper wire and am looking for other ideas. I did not want to solder the cells because I don't have a charger to drop the pack into.
The second is an Icom IC-2AT. I have two packs for this one. These use 7 cells that are 1/2 the lengs of an AA. I have not seen these before so I don't know what they are. The pack also has a small charging circuit with a plug for 13.8V.
Anyway, just looking for ideas.
