Hello
I have a Sirio Turbo 3000 Pl antenna and i have a problem.
i did shorten the antenna by cutting a piece on the bottom of the antenna and not on the top.
now i can't get the swr better then 1:2.4
is it possible that the problem is there because i cut the antenna not on the top but on the bottem ?

olso same problem with a sirio AS145 PL. i have shorten it by cutting a piece of on the bottem.

on both antenna's i can't get the swr better.
the last antenna is 1:1.5 swr,, so a little better.

i think the problem is that i was stupid to cut on the bottem of the antenna ?
it goed from wide on the bottem to small on the top, both models.

sorry for the bad english !!!

greetz from Belgium.

no you did right by cutting the bottonm .and NOT the top.my
question is what was it before ya cut it?and was it higher on ch.1or ch.40.maybe ya should have raised the whip.

I hear from the store that it is normal to cut on the bottem of the antenna and not the top.
so no problem there....

today i WILL find the problem.....
keep you all posted.

problem solved ;;;;

the best swr is now 1:1.3 with the PL145 antenna.

i think the Sirio Turbo3000 was just nog good to put on a sirio mag 145 pl magnet base.

I had a bad swr meter !!!
never buy a swr meter cheaper the 60 dollar ( 50 Euro ).
i have 3 meters all different, ALAN, PAN, K-PO and none are good.
they give different values.
now i have a MFJ meter...
good stuff.... !
