I passed my General exam today, they didn't tell me what my score was, but I'm fairly confident I only got 1 possibly 2 answers wrong.
Taking the practice tests on QRZ was a big help, and over the last couple of days I was scoring from a 91.3% up to 100%.
They offered to let me take a stab at the Extra, but I declined, didn't want to take a chance on wasting the 20 bucks I spent on Gordon West's Extra Class Study Guide if I somehow passed the thing.......
I don't think this club will be hosting another test session again for a couple of months, so I've got plenty of time to study for the Extra, besides I don't even have an HF rig yet, who knows, by the time I do get an HF rig I just might have full access to all the bands......
This one took a full court press because I didn't find out about the test session until it was only a month away, at that point I ordered both the General and Extra study guides, and got to work studying for the General. Plus being away from the hobby for so many years, I forgotten a lot of the basic stuff, so I had to brush up, refresh my memory, and get back up to Technician speed before I started to absorb some of this General stuff.
At least now I can take my time studying for the Extra.......
