Can't seem to find one on the net. Seems the only one that I've seen on the net is illegible. So, I thought I'd ask and see if there is one out there that can be downloaded here?

Yeah, and while they look sharp, they are easily subject to rusting. Seen it a few times. Naw, just looking for some cheapo black covers in OK shape. Radio is coming along OK so far.Robb, I found a seller on eBay offering aftermarket lids that'll fit the radio, but they are chrome type, not black. I found that the chrome plating can get marred from oils (on the hands) after handling.

Sure hope that isn't the case - pardon the pun.I think the covers are like the ones on a president Jackson. if so the regular radio covers will not fit. I had to contact about every radio shop in the Oklahoma city area to find a set of covers for my Jackson. the screw holes and the front of the covers are different.
good luck on finding the covers.
I had a PC-409 on the bench some time last year and I don't remember for sure, but I believe they are just like the 148 GTL lids.Sure hope that isn't the case - pardon the pun.
This is a regular President Grant - CB only - not an export version.
Klondike Mike, I could probably look over the schematic and attempt to build one from that.Does anyone have a parts list for the PC-409? I could build a capacitor kit for it.
Now that you mention it.. the PC409 Grant radio I worked on had the buttons up front!if it has the 3 or 4 buttons on the front with a face like a Jackson may have the odd covers on it.do you have a radio there with the dx covers on it you could try. this way you will know for sure.

Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned |
