on the new board it has 4 plugins where the old one only had 3. what did you plug into the 4th plugin? could not find any info on the new board. did you get any paper work with the new board? if so can you post it.
Coverage with the P5-P6 mod is roughly 26.675 to 27.965. So you'll have plenty of lower and upper channels with that mod.
~Cheers~
Thanks. My Galaxy will be out of warranty in two months. Radio Shop Supply is an authorized service and parts center for Ranger. Originally I bought the SMT board for my NOS TRE-936ffc but I realized that the 'V' on the SMT board must mean 'Viagra'. I went ahead and installed it in my 959 because LesCom has already sent his board for the 936. The SMT V-Board is a direct drop in replacement for the older Viagra boards. I just need to get the 959 realigned but it's pretty close to being on frequency.
Call Radio Shop Supply when you get a chance and get their take on it.
just got off the phone with Galaxy tech support about the Viagra B boards. John said he had no idea who is making the board and even selling them now. he was asking questions about it to see what it had in it. plus he said if someone has one in a radio for waranty work it will void the radio waranty. he said Galaxy stopped making them years ago. guess that is why we have not seen many for awhile.
he said ranger could be making them but putting Galaxy on them. also he said there is a mic out with the galaxy name on it which they do not make either.
