VX-8 Upgrade

I just got the email to ship my VX-8 in for the 60 buck upgrade to VX-8DR status. Has anybody had this done yet? If so, was it worth it?

I just got my email also, but haven't shipped it yet. The extra features ARE nice to have if you're a heavy APRS user.

I got my letter mid July and got my radio back the first part of August

I'm surprised it took so long for you guys to get your notices - I wonder if they're doing a lot of them?

I'm getting mine ready to ship, just the thought of it not having all the features possible tips me over the edge to pony up 60 bucks. May not be using APRS to the fullest yet but might decide I want to a month from now.
