11 meter is very quiet?

I thought you are in the San Antonio area. I'm in San Angelo, which is just over 200 miles WNW.
If you CAN hear me, that's some awfully short skip! :ROFLMAO:

Edit: 5:30 (central) Conditions just completely died!

Edit 2: This is absolutely wild. Conditions are moving in and out pretty fast now. I say just sit tight for a few minutes and roll with it.

how is your s 2008 doing? mine now has stood 4 real harsh wind storms. vswr still where it was when it was erected. i never get skip from your direction. be nice if we could chat on the air. same radios same antenna

My plate was real full of outside clean up today but I did let my Cobra 2000 run so I could hear the DX running every time I came in the house. I gave a shout to Northern Ireland a couple times to no avail. Someday I'll luck out.

Had to go down the Valley of the Sunstroke today. Contacted 172 in Indiana this morning, 472 in Windsor, Ontario and Needlebender 737 in South Carolina in the afternoon. Tried calling several others, but the operator noise was drowning out the signal totally skewing that ratio.

While coming back from my VA doctors appointment my McKinley was busy on LSB from Ch.19-40 but it was listen only. When I get the get ready for winter chores done I'll have to reinstall the foot warmers again. Like always I missed a lot of chances by not being ready ! LOL
