11 meter is very quiet?

To finish the day conditions weren't great but was able to make a contact every time I called CQ. It was almost preferable because when I called out there wasn't 10 different stations calling back and a qso was easy to have. I guess this is the one time I had good propagation while most of you fellas didn't and it's mostly the other way around.

Not a bad way to end the weekend.

All you fine folks have a good start to the week!

Just now 12:20pm was lookin round, rusty 207 northern maine on 26.8950 am we chatted a few minutes n noise wiped him out.
All regular 40 channels are so noisy here you just hear the sound of an arc welder s9

Worked outside like some crazy man all day with no breakfast and finished my job around 3:45 PM so decided to get a early supper, dining out. After eating I decided to take the long way home via one of our small mountain tops. Radio wasn't real active on 37 lsb but Waco Texas come streaming in so I figure take a chance and it paid off. I got a good report from Waco so it re-newed my confidence in my McKinley. Been a while since I made a mobile contact but Texas seems to be a strong player around here and can't figure because a few years ago Florida was the main player around here. I guess it is Live & Learn !

Had a fantastic connection with 399 JJ down in Medellin today!
I always appreciate the longer QSO's and being able to chat for a while with other operators.....so many people just want to wave a hand and be done. From British Columbia to Colombia!
Also made it into Prince Edward Island, Iowa, Ohio, and Michigan on the same frequency around the same time of day.

Yup. I was a nice long QSO with 23 BC Coyote Sean in British Columbia today. Got away from the crowd on 36 thru 40, and used the uppers. A whole different radio experience there. I heard Sean talking to another station, and when they signed off,I gave him a shout and we had our turn. Sean, you were loud and clear into S.A. and mother nature held the propagation steady enough that we enjoyed a nice long QSO. Thanks to all the other operators on the freq for standing by and letting us enjoy the contact. Good to finally hook up with you, Sean. We'll do it again soon, Mi Amigo. Have a good evening and 73 from the backwoods of Colombia to the Island in up in British Columbia

J.J.
