    Thought this was cute

The Apollo II has the following power levels: 4/10/40W FM 4/10W AM The cool thing is, the AM/FM Low Power and AM Low Power Modulation is adjustable, and the AM/FM High Power and AM High Power Modulation is adjustable, and these settings are independent of each other. So I set my Apollo II up...

That is basically the same as the Anytone Apollo II, Stryker SR-94HPC, CRT 2000... with a different faceplate.

True... or some of them will slide in as 10M rigs...

    New McKinley EU

He is calling out the EU version... Isn't that radio Pin-head-FCC type Accepted? if it is Type Accepted on this side of the pond, it may not be able to be modified for Wide Band use (because that makes too much sense)

    LSB 38 Relief

Everything is a crap-shoot now with Propagation being as bad as it is. 555, 385, etc is rough at the moment, but when it is hoping... it is on.

Just FYI. This is basically the same setup I run for a Base. Built a basic Ground Plane with a 102" whip and 4 wire radials. When propagation is working, I have no trouble getting out.. It is mounted on my high roof, about 30' AGL, and it is quite indiscreet

    LSB 38 Relief

Or go Freebanding. QSY is the Norm there. You call on 27.555 USB, make a contact, and jump to another freq if the other operator is so inclined. Another thing about SSB on the FCC 40.... Why does it seem that 99% of the operators do not know that they can use the other side of the carrier...

    LSB 38 Relief

the only issue I see with 30 LSB is all the AM bleed over from the splatter boxes on 28 AM

    Mobile homebrew

you would have to scale it up... a LOT.. That is for 220 MHz You need something for 27 MHz But the principle is correct.

True, but you pay a good amount for that name and the audio response isn't all that impressive

Oh, I understand completely... I ruin studio gear on SSB and have a healthy collection of studio mics... but I haven't dropped that much coin on a CB Mic.... yet... :cautious:

Thank you for posting that up. Are you sure that is the correct schematic? Is the any more to the circuit? Like where does the line go above R5? Where are the 2 jumper pins that can be shorted to boost the bass? Thanks for taking the time to post it up! EDIT: Another thing, the SL-41 runs...

Driving it with an Anytone Apollo II with about a 1.75w carrier, I haven't installed it yet, but everything looks good on the O'Scope
