If FCC gave CB 50 watts

Agreed The funny thing is, if people started using it these days, no one would probably even notice... or care... I would like to see what a " Competition Whack Pack Tweak and Peak" would do on FM mode...

    Anytone Apollo II

Gots me a new toy today.. Anytone Apollo II Going to run A KL-203P behind it for a little kick (set the carrier at about 25W out of the amp and let it cruise) I'll see how well it is set up from the Factory this weekend, hopefully. Making another ammo can go box with 10/11 AM/FM and a...

If FCC gave CB 50 watts

I think the wattage limit isn't Much of a problem... Who the hell runs stock power anyway? I would be interested in getting FM legalized for 11 meters... like the rest of the world has...

    Helping the cb revival along

With the given age of the FT-101, I'm willing to bet there are more CB SSB operators using them these days then there are Amateur Radio Operators As BlackCat mentioned, Amateur Radio rigs are MUCH better on SSB compared to any CB/Export rig As it why is FM being outlawed in this county...

    Helping the cb revival along

Yup... but that isn't CB/11 Meters, That is UHF and requires a license For that matter, MURS and FRS are FM as well and free... but this is a thread in the CB section of the Forum. And the "No FM on CB rule" makes about as much sense as the old (now removed) 155.3 Mile DX limits

Well, we should be allowed FM as well... No idea why the "powers that be" do not allow FM use in this country

    Helping the cb revival along

The AnyTone Smart is actually configurable to 11 meters only, 10 Meters, Or 25.615-30 Mhz It is a 4 W AM radio that runs great, However, it isn't FCC Type Excepted (big whoop!)... 11 meter manufactures are not going to go back to making "decent Equipment" again... if they can't sell it...

I think it is a great idea as well. Look at the Anytone Smart CB.. it is $60 on Amazon. The thing is SMALL, AM/FM, and does Legal limit. However, It does require a mod to get to to 11 Meters (it is sold as a 10 Meter radio). Great little rig, I have 1 that I take in rental cars The current...
