My 667V is probably 35 years old and I've owned it since 1996. It has TWO THIRDS KILOWATT on the front. No issues with the original variable, but I never run the variable anywhere but wide open.
The schematic shows D24 going from the clarifier to X1. I would check that to see if it has failed.

The block diagram shows it listed a D23 sooo...
This is the info for the DX11B, but it uses the same board and is MOSTLY in the same configuration as your radio. There are some slight control differences, but the schematic should be close enough for you to get through the radio.

It looks like its most likely the same board as the original 5 band Saturn base, but without a few options. It has 2 antenna outputs where the Saturn only has one in place of a variable power, H/L power switch in place of +10kc, CB/PA where the echo on/off would be, and no roger beep or...

If you were sent the larger combiner with 2 resistors, you can use that in the 500. I've been running a 667 with that combiner in it since I bought it in 1996 with zero issues.
There is no PDF for the 962e, but I did find one for the D model. I'm not sure how different they are.
You can download specific manuals, so I'm not sure why you were having issues doing so.
Click on the MFJ products folder, MFJ-9 products folder, then go to page 2 to find the 962D. You can...
The Anytone looks to be 12 bands + WX and a H/L power setting.
What I'm happy to see (if it's actually a true representation) is the red LEDs. I'm sick and tired of blue radios. They are just harsh on the eyes in the dark.

I actually ran into a group of officers using the CB for some sort of sting operation once. I was pulling into my friends apartment complex and my static disappeared as the vehicle in front of me stopped. I was boxed in between 2 cars and I found the channel they were on as one said "no, that's...
