Bringing back from history, as I tried to find these thermistors, and they seem to be obsolete? Anyone know where I can find them, and cost? If not, is there an alternative number?
Thanks

Locals here are on 21AM, nobody local on SSB. So yeah, I'm stretching it out a little, but the DX88HL on high and the DX939 full out works decent barefoot, but sometimes the noise is too high that I need the help.
Sounds like the 980 is a good route to keep in mind, but I just have issues with...
Someone on 21AM from Oklahoma City - "747" or something like that. He's relaying from a guy in Pittsburgh "777" for a local "309"... Oklahoma is coming in like the locals.
I like a hint of echo, dunno why, but I like the talkback but I also like loud audio, so turning the mic gain up I get feedback until I turn off the talkback. depends no my mood I guess. Right now, I am trying to reach as far as I can (locals are at least 15 mi away) so I keep the TB off to give...
Here's my useless $0.02..
I have a mid-90s Galaxy DX88HL, and does it drift? Only really at first startup until it has been on for a few minutes. I use it as a base unit, as no room for it in the CJ5, and I'd hate to ruin it if the windshield leaks, caught topless in rain, etc. I've always...
Still waiting on the darn radio to drift onto frequency... I need to put a light bulb or something on that freq control area or something... only thing I hate about my Galaxies.
Redbeard - Did you key up for 689 Belize?
I'll keep that in mind next time I get one - get the LT-2N!
I had the one in the DX939 in my baby Uniden (Pro520XL) and cranked the gain to barely hear - that's when I found out that it has the high impedance mic system, so I threw it in the Galaxy for kicks. No idea where I have it set now...
OK, that makes me think of another issue I may be facing in the other radio I put one in. I put one of those in my DX939, and normally I can have my Silver Eagle and mic gain pretty strong, but then I have to almost neuter the mic gain to about the 1/3 mark when I turn on the Super Star 400. Am...
I have to wonder then from all of this, is the only downside to the 575 the switch? Is the sound quality and everything else the same as the old style?
You know, I don't remember if I added on in or not now that you mention it.. maybe I did! losing my mind.... I'll have to check that...
this is what I put in...
Is it possible to do? I like the touch of echo, but I want to actually have my audio up without the feedback from the talkback feature. I'd like to put a switch on it so I can have it work when adjusting echo but off for normal operation. Is this possible? Any help on which resistor it is they...
Me likey! I love how it fits right in to the dash like it was made to.
Did you scrape the paint off the bracket where you mounted the ground strap? Or does it have "teeth" on the ID of the bolt hole of the terminal end?
What is funny is I found this listing on the FB page - that page is run by the guy that does my radio work. He mentioned something in the comments, and the seller said he has many more items on the shelf, not in the pics, that go too. I went to find it, must have been deleted from the flaming...
Gonna put my 0.02 in..
My first radio I bought was a Cobra 18 with the 3 weather channels, figured that would be handy as I was doing college 3 hours away in Columbus OH, so traveling every weekend home, I wanted to have resources. Bought it in '94, ran it as my primary up thru around '97 when...
Local.. yeah, that's about an hour and a half from me. Been there many times - they have a decent offroad park there. Hoping to take my girls up this summer, last time i was there the oldest was still in momma's tummy, and she just turned 5 yesterday.
I have a 5/16" stud terminal for each B+ and B-, and then a fuse block and a ground bus for the smaller cords connected to those by 8ga wire. Main feed, amp, fuse/ground blocks are connected to the 5/16 studs. The main power goes thru a 100A relay before the terminal so I can power it all off...
