when ya put dosy in it probably picks up harmonics from the connex turbo radio, i would trust what the analizer says and not the dosy,,, harmonics tend to throw external meter readings wacky,,,

you will have trouble getting a regular mike to fit that radio,,, that is why the ptt button is gray,, it has some kind of special circuit,, i have had a couple of the 5 pin din cobra 19 and i gave up trying to get a regular mike fit and work,,,, it has to be a gray button mike...

from what i can see in pic,, the white wire is like a coax,, the center goes to the so239 while the outer braid gets soldered to the shield cone,,,,, i have seen many milspec equipment done like that,,, just find a new so239 that matches and reassemble with the same cone,,,,,

looks like a gc electronics copy,,, the gc models name for fame was even if swr was good using the tuner helped eliminate tvi,,, this was when radios did 4 watts and tvs still used outside antennas or rabbit ears,,,,the added switch was to have one less jumper in line,,,,
