well thank you very much, its been a long time since I played with my radios, and been out of the loop as it were for many years, you have got me looking at some new radios I did not know about before but am thinking about now. so thank you for all the info and time and suggestions ...
was not looking at another RCI, I was looking at some of the Galaxy's, but stock, untouched. if its stated they have been messed with, I keep walking. pretty much with any radio at this point. looking at that ARES II, Im guessing you have to program it for 11meter use? or is that something a...
my cobra 146gtl needs work. want to send it out, think I found the right person now for that. my OLDER RCI2950 has issues. but can not be fixed. that is the one im looking to replace. I cant use anything touch screen, like knobs over buttons. a Galaxy 88HL would suit me fine.
looked at both. more then I can afford right now. and also looking for something without buttons. prefer dials when driving. dont have to take eyes off road. nice radios tho..
tat radiogarage is some sort of radio station or something, nothing to do with two way radios. Superior I did reach out too. he said start looking to replace the 2950 as the processor seems to be dying in it. but my budget is limited. I was told to look for a Galaxy 88/99 but not the newer...
I am in of, a reputable shop that can work on an OLD Cobra 146GTL and a gen2 RCI2950 that I could send my radios too. and have been not having any luck finding anyone. any suggestions?
I have done some gunsmithing. prefer the vintage older rifles with wood stocks, cant stand plastic. but what I cant do, and am in of, is a reputable shop that can work on an OLD Cobra 146GTL and a gen2 RCI2950. and have been not having any luck finding anyone. any suggestions?
Exactly WHY?
because it makes money, a lot of stores will stop selling biggest money makers and keep the dust collectors. maybe its a liberal thing. dunno. but I have a 575-M6. love it, just found they are now selling for $200 to $350 depending on condition. thinking I need to take care of...
like I said. after seeing what you made, I would come up with something, I searched around for anti-vibration mounts, found those, and thought they were exactly what you were looking for.
Im betting that if you took some "L" brackets or similar and put one of each on each corner. or make something like this. Im betting it would work great. they are more for vibration I believe but shock would be absorbed as well...
