thanks I did use detoxit on the channel selector but that didn't do anything. I will look into some more soon. Would really like to get this thing going. Thanks.
I have a really clean Pace Sidetalk 1000m I hate to throw this radio out in the trash or use it for parts if it's a simple fix the issue with the radio is it does not fully power up. There is no light on AM USB or LSB lamps also the channel selector lamp and meter light are not working. The RX...
This 101B almost got tossed out in the trash last week. My friend called and asked me if I wanted it. His father recently passed. Don't know much about it. I have a lot of CB radio experience. Going to clean this thing up and fire it up soon.
no one has been in the radio. Transmit is dead. I have tried everything. Replaced all electrolytic caps, tested some of the C945 transistors and a few diodes. No luck. Yeah I'm listening in on another radio when keying the mic. Nothing heard. Red/Green LED's do work. PA works, talkback works...
I have a 2007 model 29 LTD Chrome that's in great shape, but it will not transmit. I have checked the driver and final and a few of the 2SC945 transistors and all have tested good. Also recapped almost all the electrolytics. The PA and talkback have audio so I don't think the audio IC is at...
I have a few TOKO RCL coils I need to test. Really just need to test the coils for a open/closed coil. If it's good or not. I saw on ebay that here are a couple of different low priced LCR meters that can test inductance. Anyone ever used one of these to test these toko coils? Thanks for any input.
thanks everyone for the usful information. This website is great and get answers quick about my 2000. It was hacked up pretty good and the golden screwdriver went in it. Just been trying to put it back to stock.
yeah I saw the schematic and noticed that. Weird there is a red red orange in loc R129 which is a 22K. Someone must have changed it then cut it. Guess I'll put back in a 33K back in there. Wouldn't hurt to try.
Anyone know the function of R129 in a Cobra 148? The 148 I have is in good shape but it looks like someone cut R129. 22K resistor 1/8 watt. Just curious if it needs to be left alone cut, or replace it with a new one. thanks.
