Option 2 is the interesting one. Never had time to try it.
One radio..so the exact same freq..
2 identical pieces of coax at the same length.
2 identical amplifiers tuned the same.
2 of the same beams, one vert and one horizontal.
What could go wrong,?? Honestly it seems like it should...
I have no science to back me..but everyone I know who has tried CP has got their butt kicked on the bowl. Yagi always wins.
But simultaneously xmitting on both vertical and horizontal with the same radio...but different amps. Hmm.
I'ld either go the 50v or Tube route.
The Tubes give much more bang for the buck. Plus they are extremely forgiving. Wild SWR swings, +- a few thousand volts on the plate...no problem. Just keep the filament voltage rock steady.
It was pretty active before the cell phone. Had an off roader in the hills behind my house once splatter me on channel 11 calling on 9 ... few years ago.
The Radio Shack *Flavor Radio" is great for narrowing noise issues.
Usually the fan, fuel pump or wires. Guess you can eliminate some of those already.
Would rather have my gold boxes gold plated then spend that kinda $$.
The thought behind my comment was not some newer technology..It aint 1992 anymore.
