That was one of my first loops for sure, they work very well. Nothing I like better. I have had , 5/8th, j-pole,2 el beam, 4 el beam, Dipoles, Moxon, In the air I like a loop, on the ground for portable , I like a vertical dipole, with a bent lower leg on the 45. Thos are my go-to antenna.

I have modeled a circle, the software did not produce a better gain than, my loop. So far this is the best arrangement I could make. 15 should not be a problem on ssb, I talk to a buddy every day he is 27 miles out, and we have big hills between us, we always have ok to excellent comms. Both of us have antennas 36 feet to the feed, mine a full wave loop, his a antron 99 with radials.

I do not think that small amount of bend will show up at all, in theory it will work a tiny bit better off the mouth of the v, but I do not think it would amount to much on that slight of a bend.

I have the swr down to about 1.4 across all channels, just by tuning and coax arrangements. I really need an antenna analyzer, so I can get things done a little easier.

This is pretty close to the antenna I run my base on. So far it is my favorite antenna. it is roughly 12 feet tall by 7 feet wide, hangs on a wood pole. 36 feet to the feed.
