I had a HR-2510 and the Lincoln, Never had the Ar-3300, But i had the black face Ar-3500 100wt model with all the extras. That was the best SSB radio i ever had. JMO.

I want to say, A recieve kit would've of worked to take out that hissy ( white noise ) as we call it. I have had some great 10 meter radios through my years. Radio Operator since '73. Ar-3500 100wt model, Yeticom Optima, Rci2970n2, 2950 first gen. just to name a few. Rci-2950dx would be my choice.

I had a Yeticom, When they first came out. ( I still kick myself for selling it ) The Yeticom has a few more options that the 257hp does, And yes the Yeticom does 50 watts veriable in which you can hook up a nice Linear to it. My choice is the Yeticom. This does remind me, I need to buy another...
