Been terrible here on AM for a long time. Worst I've ever seen it. I've got the 29lx on scan all day for the frequncies that are usually active, but for weeks there's been nothing, not even local. It's a waste of battery power.

I agree. It does seem to be a random $ number figure. Maybe there are less people getting into Amateur Radio, and the $15.00 isn't cutting it. Can you imagine not passing the exam the 1st time, and then next try say a month later you have to pay another 50 clams. Better study hard.
