Please guys understand this is not a BRAG...I know this is 10/11m propagation thread.
However, I do this sometimes because the "Gray Line/Meteor Scatter" propagation can be very similar in both frequency ranges.
This activity is all near the same time frame every morning.
The time frame of Sunrise +/- 1 hour.
You just have to try the band and see, those with Horizontal rotatable antennas need to try in all directions.
These contacts tend to come in "waves" as you can look at the time stamp on the log. Many cases it may take 2-3 times calling, then listening for you to "catch" the peaks and complete the contact.
Fun Stuff to me, challenging for certain. Most certainly takes patients and little luck to develop the skill and understand the band pattern working in that time frame.
I have a fairly modest set-up with antenna only near 40 ft.
Gain in the true 8 dbd range
Power level in the KW range.
I should note that the 2 stations in VA (FM17 & FM27) were only running 100 watts.

I hit the road last Thursday and headed from down here to Miami - a three hour trip. Sunday, my travels took me from Miami to Orlando - a four hour trip. Today's travel was a return to Miami from Orlando. For each leg, I hooked up my trusty little Cherokee AH100 SSB walkie-talkie to a Stryker 5K magnetic mount. This simple rig has talked all over the country for me over the years. On each of these three trips, there was zero skip.

My last leg home will be tomorrow from Miami back to the lower Keys. Approximately the last two hours of that trip will involve traveling with the Atlantic ocean within a stone's throw just to my left. It is my last best hope for talking DX on CB ...at least for now.

.24 hr Summary...
Solar activity was at very low levels. Region 2776 (S14W23, Hsx/alpha)
remained stable, but did produce two B-level enhancements during the
period. Analysis of the area of dimming, mentioned in the previous
discussion, indicated there appeared to be no associated CME detected in
coronagraph imagery. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available
satellite imagery.

PR and Jamaica blasting in to CT as the sun was low in the sky then it sounded like the path moved down your way until I lost both sides.

I was barefoot mobile which had no chance against the NYC and Strong Island crew. They all key up when the tropics come in lol
