11 meter is very quiet?

Eleven meters is completely dead, but on GMRS ch20 I can hear somebody in southern Maryland. They sound like they are talking to someone in North Carolina, I don't know if they are hitting multiple repeaters or what.

I heard the Carolinas and Virginia on 38 LSB on Saturday Nov. 6 around the lunch hour Mountain time here in the southwest while doing some chores, but by the time I got on the radio mid-afternoon the band was dead.

No DX since. Only QSOs the past few days have been radio checks on the Southwest linked GMRS system.
