11 meter is very quiet?

Saturday evening talked to a few guys in Texas on 38 LSB.

Also heard 553 Texas. Was that you Codeman?

Called out for you a few times on 37 & 38. Then the Texas Skip skipped on out like a flat rock on smooth pond water…then went to the bottom.

It could have been me. I was on the radio last evening. Had some weak dx conditions. Had contacts to Wyoming, Nebraska and Georgia. Hope to hear you soon!

Was talking with locals last night when suddenly a guy in Wyoming came booming in. Was a good 5 minute contact. About 30 minutes later had Colorado coming in for a while and made a couple more contacts. One guy joined us locals for close to 20 minutes. We don't get much skip from the NW so it was a welcome change.

Tonight was New York to Texas on 28 AM. Talked briefly with Indiana and Ohio. But 747 in Texas and a bunch of other's was doing some kind of check in. Didn't think I had enough fire in the wire but keyed up anyway. Made the check in with 747 then it all turned to a blur of noise when every radio in Texas was hollering back at me. Terrible problem to have lol

It has been pretty quite the last few days. Yesterday I made ONE contact from just south of Houston,TX to Big Joe 302 in Yuba City, CA.

Today I thought I heard some early morning skip, but no. However I was surprised to make a quick contact from New Braunfels,TX to La Grange, TX. I was in the semi working with my old Uniden and my little RM Italy 203. That is about 80-90 miles.

I had to jump out of the truck to get loaded and when i got back in all was quite.

Still pretty cool to make it that far if only shortly. Can i get a haw haw haw haw ahaw haw haw

I'm strictly a mobile station, perhaps I should start taking notes on contacts.......

Nice local contact around 110 miles away, and then it opened up......

Tennessee, N Carolina, Alabama from my mobile in central California on 27.285 am.

RCI 6300F150 with headache rack mounted Sirio Fighter 5000.

Heard 766 (?) on 27.285 as he transmitted on 27.165. Pretty sure he was in the Great Lakes area.......

I got a flat tire in New Braunfels about 6 weeks ago. Next time I go that way I'll let you know, we run 27.245 when delivering to Houston. 20211013_140921.jpg
