Australia and New Zealand emerging weakly from the static now on 385 and 555, but that's it. Atmospheric noise seems high today too. Normally there's not enough background here to even move the needle, but today it's bouncing around S 1 and lots of loud crackles and pops. Mother nature is displeased it seems........
On the way home I powered up the quad 6 and could very faintly hear an operator calling cq from west indies and the guy that gets on and whistles (not sure if you folks have heard the whistle guy).
Great dx yesterday afternoon and evening. Australia, Hawaii, New Zealand, and all over the western US. Super long QSO with 406 in Salt Lake. His Icom 7300 was rattlin' the windows in my shack. Nice to have a good DX day once in a while.

Yes ! Fantastic conditions here yesterday as well ! Hoping it's as good today; I put up a delta loop to experiment with yesterday and need to give it a good test.........
Just fired up the Ranger for a few minutes on my day off and conditions up here in Central Pennsylvania are absolutely quiet, like you can hear a pin drop out there..............
Had to drive to the Valley of the Sunstroke this morning. Had two contacts, one in North Carolina and the other in Virginia. Lots of Florida in there, but it seemed to be mostly locals not interested in DX. We'll see what the band holds when I head home this evening.
