11 meter is very quiet?

Tennessee was just talking to me. Hound dog I think. On my little anysecu no amp and a shortened cheap magnetic roof antenna.
The one copper wound plastic section on the antenna melted when I had the amp on it.

So quite....can't even get Kav on the phone to see if my radio even works.:confused:

Gets out on AM to monitor radio (880), but there ain't nobody round here parts. Fount some brief Mex chatter on 19 AM. But me no savi.

Bout time you got something down that way. I traveled down into the Permian basin area and the skip was sure rollin on AM. Got back up into the panhandle to cloudy, windy, snowy and a dead 11 meter band...
