11 meter is very quiet?

More often than not, when AM is dead here in central Texas, 24, 32, and couple more have skip out of Mexico, I don't speak Spanish but it's interesting, my radio has been off, I run the channels in the mobile, nothing, even on 6 and 28, staying on 19 till solar cycle turns

I worked 004 out of Trinidad early this afternoon just after I heard 0737 trying to call him. 004 was doing about 2 S units to me fading in and out. It was rough and tough for skip conditions out there. I turned the radio back on around 4pm central and heard nothing....it was dead. I've been getting pounded with rain from "OLGA" that post-tropical cyclone in the Gulf.

S.America was really coming in to the Bam this morning. Spoke to Andy, one-seven in Trinidad. Spoke to a couple of gents in Grenada and a couple in the Bahamas. Signals were not really strong, but enough to have a QSO. Talked with "Doc Holiday" in NC and SOB#1 around Austin Tx. Then it all went quiet for me :)

Perhaps today will be another good DX day. Hopefully conditions won't be too ratty.

The Comanche. Man, that brings back sweet memories. It's in great shape, S&W357 !
I hope your right about today being another good day for skip. I already heard Texas in there at 7AM this morning. I need to go and pick up more radios, shortly, and won't be back home until around 11-11:30AM. Maybe I can talk to another member from the site :)

I hear a little noise on 27.025 this morning, but that’s about it. Only had a minute to play with the radio yesterday...responded to a Texas truck driver’s CQ, and had 3 or 4 other folks all over the top of him. I guess I’m too nice, I try not to do that. Lol.
