11 meter is very quiet?

Thats funny.
Stupid question of the night.
Does the 10 meter use the same antenna as the 11 meter?
Are there certain frequencies that get used more than others .
Asking for my anysecu
The open end won't hurt anything. 11M uses the same antenna as 10M; just tuned differently.
Since you only have AM and FM with the Anysecu, there are only a few frequencies that you can really use on 10 (assuming you have General or above license). AM is mostly 29.000 which is Channel 20 HP. FM simplex is just one frequency: 29.600 which is 35 IP. A common FM repeater freq is 29.620 which is 37 IP. If you heard activity there you could give a call, but you will be on the output because that radio doesn't do repeater splits.
There is nothing a Tech licensee can legally do with this radio on 10.

No. But that thing won’t ever get finished. My little brother is building a space ship out of washing machine parts, that things probably gonna work. I can’t get that thing out of R&D.

This sucks. All that time my antenna laid on the ground and the skip was getting funky like a big fat monkey. I get the antenna up and I can’t even hear a lunar cricket. The life of a dark lord ain’t easy, kinda like pimpin’.

One must be apply ones self all the time. Well I mean every time I turn on the radio and listen to the bands filled with noise and nothingness, I say well some body gots to be out there "Breaker" ...… just static…..just static..... I turn the Volume up and rotate the beam around all over. The S-Meter usually indicates S-5 just for noise, buts it at Zero!

But a few times I hear some really great skip coming in, Pacific north west, the southern states, and some times very weak stations out of the Pacific South West Islands. Its out there, its out there at times.

So you put up antenna? Well, guys, I found the culprit. The dark side pimp has installed an antenna, is currently down linking through some sort of mad scientist space junk and jamming the propagation. We now know who to blame for "global warming", "climate change", and "birds falling from the sky".

Take the antenna down so propagation will return, please.

Found out my truck is very noisy.
How do I got rid of all this electrical noise. I thought the transformer next to my house was noisy. This truck has it beat.
It does not change with engine speed.
Headlights don't bother it.
In accessory mode it is not there. Even with my phone charger plugged in.

Also get some ferrite beads, along the power supply (pos). Good wire, 8 guage for pwr directly to battery (+ & -). Proper grounding. Not just the neg to the battery. To the frame of truck.

Proper bonding of all body panels. Cab to chassis, bed to frame, using braid.

It's work. Have fun. I know I do.
