I haven’t wanted to go to Xenia ever since it showed up on the news all the way down in Texas in 1974.

That said, I’ve been past it and thru it a half dozen times the last few years.

Hamvention is soundin’ fine. Like mine with musterd. So, when I got there one a y’all gonna gimme a code I kin git some foldin’ money from them electric slot machines they got at ever’ gas station nowadays?

(I’d better never show up at one. The sleeper on this Pete ain’t big enough).

I really wish we'd have kept the old antenna rotor setup from my mom's place - I grew up about 15-20 minutes from the Alliance plant, EVERYONE had those rotors when I was growing up. Mom had to have the chimney reworked some, the bricks were starting to come loose in areas, and the antenna tower was banded to it for stability, so they scrapped it all :(

Sorry it took so long Riverman. I have had some problems getting onto this site. My Safari web browser finally didn't tell me it was dangerous to do so today. Anyway I took the photo you requested. The leaves will be on soon and the antenna will disappear. I could have put it on the roof but there were some problems with that. One I am in a HOA. They are tolerant of my 2 meter antenna so I don't want to push my luck. Two I have found that I can sometimes cause RFI into my house wiring with HF antennas on my roof. Also I get extra noise induced into my antenna and radio with the antenna being on the roof. So I found if I put it behind the house and elevate it into my tree I can overcome all the problems. The antenna is pretty much the same height as it would have been if on my roof so all is well.
