11 meter is very quiet?

Several of the old GE radios had decent audio, I ran a little 40 channel mobile AM radio that worked well.

Made contact last night with West Virginia, Central New York and New Hampshire!! The band was really hopping up here in Central Pennsylvania with alot of Operator's out there trying to make contacts and the DX was really humming along,at least for me!! If any of you Radio Friends ever want to make contact,I'm usually on .385 LSB, would love to make contact with any of the forum members ,Hope you all have a great day today and God Bless!!

Put up a horizontal dipole last weekend at the house and just worked 951 SoCal this morning from the Albuquerque area on 38 LSB with the barefoot Uniden 980SSB.

Really short skip is in, up by the park this afternoon and talking into
Sacramento, San Jose, Lake Tahoe, I think I heard John in Monterey. I can hear Hawaii but can't get back.
Arizona coming in at times and a little Pacific North West skip.
