2970 N2

Back when I bought mine, the skip on 10m was really rolling. I would sit in Tampa Fl at the truck stop and talk to guys running $10,000 radios and they said that I sounded like a million bucks. The secret to these radios is NO HACKING. Just a full service manual alignment. Those hams were really shocked when i told them what i was talking on. Mine was one of the units that was shipped with the amp board voltage regulators set to 7 volts from the factory. Should have been 4 volts.
 
Now that freaks me out ! If they so much as make a body function .... Leo , Stage left ! :whistle: I had a friend that does what you do his stories freak me out ! True or not but I'm guessing true nothing extravagant just stories .

Any one have the Lowdown on the 2970 N2 good shops with good reputation for tunning and Alignment price for this radio brand new or in good condition 2nd hand
