You have probably got more knowledge than me so you converted them yourself to work on 11 meter bandI've likely owned 10-15 Ranger 29xx's since they came out. I never aligned, peaked or tuned any of them. Adjusted the dead key a few times. Some of them, I aligned SSB with another rig nearby.

This is the million dollar question finding an honest trustworthy tech .I have heard and experienced great reviews and service from Bob's. There are really two options for a new radio purchase. 1) Buy the radio from a place that does quality tech work and you will be happy and never have to mess with the radio. 2) Buy from Copper or H & Y and then convert the radio yourself or use a good local tech that is available that you trust.
