858 Chassis Frequency Counter Internal hookup Recieve/Transmit

I am about to install anthother one of these counters in a 138xlr using nomad's instructions, also doing the 5 switch pll mod that unit 399 featured on his 858 site. I put the counter and switches in a crayon box from walmart. If this works I will build a metal box for it in the future.1659656952665-34662779.jpg

Now I'm looking for where to install the input pin on the 6 digit blue counter for an 858 am Dwight D radio and the offset that would need set for this radio still 7.8 mhz? Hope someone can help please.

You'll need to choose between a correct reading on transmit or receive. The PLL jumps 45 and a half channels (I think) down from the receive frequency when you transmit.

The transmit offset is 10.695. Pretty sure the receive-mode offset is 11.150 MHz.

I think.

You'll find most AM-only 40-channel radios do something like this with the PLL when you transmit. Sideband models mostly don't.

I'll have to have a look at the Sams book for that model. The schematic isn't a CB Tricks item.

Hey did you get a chance to look for a hook up spot for this? I also have the upd2816 version I'll need the same information for as well the off set and hook up point I'll probably just set them for reading correctly on rx.
