Spent the day 6:AM till Now, fixing my computer "installed a new SSD" New windows 10, Sinad software and patched it all into a seamless network that I can switch around pretty easy and transferred about 10 Thousand documents and schematics. Next upgrade a new bench radio it should be here in just a few days. Not bad did all this and got 4 radios finished and packed ready to go back to the customers. Very tired wannnnnnaaaaa go Night-Night.

OldTech03,
My how Senior Life changes things. There was a time in my 20's, 30's and 40's I used to dream about girls, women, females.

Ashamed to say (sort of) that now in my late 50's I dream of a work bench like this.

Looks awesome!!!(y)

Happy Independence Day!

I miss those days......kind of. I never did much radio service beyond commercial broadcast gear but that could be anything from a broadcast transmitter down to a VHF/UHF 2-way radio for business comms but I always took it on as a challenge and liked it. Now I'm either just too lazy or too tired to get back into it.

Hmmmm...

OT03, that bench looks suspiciously youtube-friendly.

is someone about to start making some repair videos?

Don't sweat it. Even the most expensive repair bench out there is NOTHING to what a woman would cost over the years!!:D

OldTech03:

Nice bench!

I had noticed in the upper left hand corner of the above photo of your bench, that there are a gaggle of chemicals/spray cans/etc.

Y'know; no one has ever exploited this kind of info in depth before.

Q: what chemicals do you use to work on radios with.
What do you have at hand.?
