They are for car insurance health insurance dish network cable TV and so on Im snapping here LMAO my wife said lastnight that they are calling on Sundays now aswell. Wow I think these companys have hit rock bottom and are desperate and grasping at making sales deals ETC I was curious if anyone else has noticed a drastic change with this garbage. Im sorry I didnt get on the nocall loist now thats forsure. I know there even hammering on cellphones now thats terrible owell eventually Ill just shut the phones ringers off I said tonight I should unplug them at 3:00pm everyday until 9:00pm

They go in spurts here. They other day I got a recorded message ,my "favourite" kind BTW,and was so PO'ed that I just started hitting the keys on the phone. I then listened and heard "You have sucessfully been deleted from our call database. You will not be receiving any further calls from (company name). Thank you and good bye.". Honest to God,no BS. Now if I only knew what numbers I pressed in my fit of rage. :confused1:

I even have blockers on mine , it's been slower for sure , but the better half and myself are voters so we get alot of cam (pain in the ass crap)

One time I answered the phone and the person started to try an sell me something, I interrupted the person and said " I have a Icom 775 for sale for $2000 would you like to buy it?" They said "why would I like to buy your radio?", and I said "then why did you call?"

Our answering machine has a mode that has the caller hear "this number does not except messages" and hangs up, I love it.

I use to mess with them aswell but now its all automated so I open the desk drawer and throw the phone in or crank my favorite tune my wife looks at me like Im nuts well I kind of am (these calls are not helping) and I yell out well honey its there dime so they can spend it how they want rather its enjoying my tunes or listening to the silence (in the desk drawer) Im missing because of the phone. I also get ones where nobodys even there well those are the dandys of the massive bunches of useless calls I get. I was thinking I have birds and my African Greys LOVE THE TELEPHONE they mimic the ring and push button keys and there tones pefectly ya cant even tell its the birdys. They even carryon conversations in everyone in the houses voice so I think it would be wonderful to let these places enjoy the absolute Norman Bates nonsense jibber jabber that these beatiful sense of humered little birds have because when the phone rings here and the birds hear it ITS GAME ON they love the phone as much as my teenage girls do

They released a batch of numbers from the Do-not-call deal...you will have to re-register with the do-not-call registry in order to continue not receiving calls...

Not sure where they are calling from, but I seem to be getting a lot of calls from people who's native language is not English. And then there's the automated calls, love those! Listen for a few seconds, no background noises? Click! Every once in a while I even say hello and wait for the person to come on line. 'Mess' with them for a little bit, then hang up. Also heard a good technique by someone named 'Tom Maybe'. Acts like a police detective investigating a mysterious murder of the person being called. I'd post it but don't know how. Oh well...

Right, Steve. After Five Years You expire from the List. Reregister and in a few months it wiil Cease. I never get Telemarketers just the Damn Politicans who are exempt from the List!

Ive heard that call where the guy messed with the telemarketer saying theres been a murder and now the telemarketer is a suspect

hmm

i love messing with telemarketers when there not recordings they call i usually either pretend im an Arab and don't speak English or I say something about how they hit my dog or killed my family either way most of them never call back hahahahahahaha =] when you get me and cheech together with telemarketers its heel for them haha my ringer is off cuz they call here at least 10 times a day so thats how i get rid of them .

Yes
because if you put yourself on the do not call list
each additional time they call you
(after a month)
then each additional cold call from a company you have added yourself to do not call list......will get you $500 each offense (and usaly you need not even go to court)
