Hello All: Yesterday was listening in on the local ham band channel, and the Lower side of CH16. Nothing but static, noise, A/C hum on some frequencies about 800 Kc wide sounding like a high power transmission line arcing and sparking. Took my loop out and went DFing for power line noise.

There were stations talking tonight. I am on an omni under powerlines (bad combination). 805 has had success with 38 lsb in CA. He went to 16lsb a few times and 16AM was killing his ears(south of the border). He had the NW corner contacts.

16 lsb been so quiet you can hear a mouse break wind
Hasn't been much here lately , turned radio on about & hour ago , nothing on 16 LSB but other Am channels were alive & fairly quiet .
Ch 31 bunch of Good Ol' Boy's holding a 4 way conversation , I could hear both sides , they wouldn't acknowledge me , but finally had " Body Snatcher in IL get back to me . Things are looking up on my end today ! Btw , that was a tad over 500w , barefoot ( I tried ) ... Nada !

Still Slamming 20db's + down south , 16 is dead will try again ! Many contacts on 38 LSB , Wv , Tn , Ge & N & S Carolina , headed to 16 LSB .
Almost sounds like planning a mid-summer context pissed off the great DX gods.
I found that by planning an event, something always goes wrong. But, if it's done on a whim, everything turns out alright.
