Those of you who have followed this LSB 16 revival push have seen me post a proposed schedule for hailing. This is in no way intended to make anyone feel limited. In other words, anyone can go for it at any time. My goal in proposing the schedule you see below is just to try to improve our chances of making contacts.
The recommendation - and it is only that - is that folks work around the following hailing schedule for LSB 16 on August 10th and 11th:
9:00A.M. eastern/8:00A.M. central/6:00A.M. pacific;
12:00 noon eastern/11:00A.M. central/9:00A.M. pacific;
3:00P.M. eastern/2:00P.M. central/12:00 noon pacific;
6:00P.M. eastern/5:00P.M. central/3:00P.M. pacific; and
9:00P.M. eastern/8:00P.M. central/6:00P.M. pacific.
We've got folks showing interest in this who are all over North America: Ontario, Canada; the Florida Keys; North Carolina, Delaware, Indiana, Idaho, California, etc. We'll need Mother Nature's cooperation, but we'll help our chances if we're organized.
On my end, my 35 year old Radio Shack Archer Crossbow 1/2 wave (which is just a Shakespeare Big Stick dyed in sky blue) has finally died. SWRs went from flat to 2.3 this past week. I have pronounced it dead and will be making arrangements for it to go to the big antenna farm in the sky (or in the ground). Looks like the A99 is coming out of retirement and going back up!
Happy DXing!
