Can I take off the end cap of plate transformer to replace a couple wires?

I tried to match color code of wires coming out of the transformer I replaced painting them was fun that's the only damage I have found is the chewed wires and the two removed fuse holders a missing power plug an two 1/4 Jack's and one broken knob. Then when back together then what?

Powersupply repaired and back in

The one missing speaker jack I am going to put a 250v light there and I will run the power cord through the bottom one three speaker Jack's is enough

Well I have replaced all damaged wires except the power cord. It had fuse holders for plate transformer and the lights but they were removed and it was powered by a two wire cord. Post war by someone who wants to help me bring this thing back to life? A variac and luck?

Put a light bulb inline with your cord. That way if there is a short, it will just light the bulb.
