best 11meter vertical ever, period.

It seems always to be what works best for one may not suit another.
The best, the V4k.
My most loved, Astroplane.
Everything else I have tried in 11m verticals fall behind these rwo.
Everything I put up worked well. Nothing was junk.

Given unloaded / uncomplicated pieces of wire can seemingly work miracles with RF that makes a lot of sense.

I just pulled the trigger on a vector 4000 from ebay, will see how it stacks up against the imax 2000 i run now...it ill be my first go at an aluminum antenna....have always have run fiberglass antennas, hopefully will be a little more quiet then with the imax 2000.

Anecdotal reports suggest the Gain Master and Vector are on par with each other. The Vector looks cooler that is for sure. A piece of coaxial wire never wins the in the looks department.

The Vector sure looks like you are going to "get out".

As long as there is no metal around the chimney it is difficult to imagine the 5/8 wave GM not outperforming the 1/2 wave with most contacts, local and DX. Good luck and enjoy the installation.

I think you could probably expect 1/2 to 1S point all round TX and RX as a real world possible improvement based on many online anecdotal reports. Of course every installation and situation / roof line is a bit different.

Yes...Welcome to the forum Troy.

Keep us updated on the Gainmaster. Folks with an A-99 want to know (me).
I will I’m puttthe Gainmaster onto a 3m pole is about hopefully on the chimney

I sure will. I’m also hoping that the gain master will reduce the RX of QRM. a friend of mine who is the local antenna guru suggested the GM AND before anyone asks, he doesn’t sell them makes his own antennas. He is a satellite installer. I probably will keep the Antron and maybe do
some mobile dx’ing.

I use an Imax 2000 too. What do you think of the Vector 4000 now? Have you had a chance to compare?
