Coax length on mag mount question

I'll probably be made fun of for this but, (Actually, I'm sure I will), anyway, I have five mag mounts including 2 NMO mag mounts. I cut LMR-240 to exact quarter wave lengths figuring velocity factor for the times microwave LMR-240 and use 27.185 as center in my calculations. Every one of them works exceptionally well. And, any antenna I use tunes very well. Ok, "get me", about the quarter wave 'thingy', now. I can take it!
The ONLY reason I use LMR-240 is because it's a pretty darn good low loss coax. I only modulate about 110 - 120 watts.
PS. I'm wrong. Sorry. 1 of my five inch tram mag mounts I used a quarter wave of the DX Engineering low loss RG8X on and it also does a fantastic job. Forgot about that one.
