Cobra 25 vs. uniden 78

Ok. i got the road devil mic and put it on. I guess it sounds good. But i still get some vibration in the cb. It don't do it if i key up and put the mic next to the speaker on the cb. So i was wondering if the mic gain with the volume control on the mic would make a difference? Do i need to turn the mic gain down and the volume about half way on the mic or what? Any help would be appreciated. If anyone has a similar setup could you tell me what you run your mic gain at with the volume on you power mic set at. Thanks
 
you may want to invest in a meter that will show your modulation etc,...

radios with different mics will want the mic gain set in different places

you will be able to tell alot with a meter.

and you dont need the best (bird)
