That Maco 91 is a typical CB matchbox. Not enough range.
These two are quite decent small tuners:
and
And they both have bypass switches (important). I own both and use them for mobile use.
Thanks

You would have to take the covers off, and locate the adjustment screw on the meter. I've never had a zero-adjustment issue with that meter. Can the meter be be adjusted on the PDC5? Reason why is that I have a Roadpro SWR/power meter and the meter can't be zeroed(bummer).

This looks nice!

Just ordered one!
It's not a bad little tuner, but kinda blows that it doesn't have a tuned bypass switch.

Allows you to switch the tuner in or out of the circuit. The MFJ-945E has this:"Tuned bypass switch"??? Okay, you got me on that cause I don't understand the terminology. I did find a link to a mod that installs a homemade bypass switch tough.
The "tuned" part is what I didn't understand. I thought I might do this later to it> MFJ-971 Antenna Tuner ModAllows you to switch the tuner in or out of the circuit. The MFJ-945E has this:
This is the tuner I use for all my low power (under 300W) applications.
Installing an aftermarket "tune-bypass" switch might be problematic. Use one of these: MFJ-1705H Bypass Swich
Yup, that will work. Just make sure your wire is big enough, 12 ga. or more. The "tuned" part is what I didn't understand. I thought I might do this later to it> MFJ-971 Antenna Tuner Mod

Why not?Just a thought. Since the MFJ-971 has a random wire connection,I wonder if just for fun and experimenting,if I run a wire from the tuner's radon wire lug to my tower, would it tune that? Any comments?
Why not?
