Dave Made Choice

So... the Chris that made the gold two pill on the Dave Made Mobi site, is "Cherry Popper Chris" and he is not approved officially by Dave Made???? Although he labels the amps Dave Made with the snake???? And just to add more confusion, the five pill you posted appears to be gold colored. And the Davemadeamps.com is making gold boxes.

So there are two (2) imposters? Something doesn't add up here...hmmmmm.
 
In post #55 he says they haven't used gold in 10 years but in post #57 he shows a current box in gold....????
 
That case is built differently. The 5 pill case that mobi was/is using had 4 sides and the lid was flat.

Looks like there are brush marks on it. Old DM gold was smooth

Look at the logos on the front and their orientation. Looking at the front of the Davemadeamps site the fan is on top. Anyone that has owned a 5 pill from Joe or the mobi site will know the fan is on the bottom.

Yes davemaeamps is Our Chris' site hes building now. To be fair that is a gold tone case so I can see the confusion. I didn't say were weren't going back to gold albeit not the bright gold of old days. rest assured those of us who are build at shop get whatever is laying around and build on that. The shoemakers shoes story ..Most of my boxes over the years have sharpee lettering or a few have daves handwritten signature as a joke.

This is CB land. No need to explain we get it. Thank God Davemade has issues--seriously. We understand things are, well, imperfect in the amp land. I wouldn't want it any other way. The more confusing, the more explaining, the more knock offs, copies, builders breaking up and starting their own gig, is the only reason this is my hobby. If everything were legit like golf, fantasy football or MMA, I would find another hobby. My hobbies are strippers and CB. I love living on the edge. Normal I ain't.

Where do those cases come from? I was looking for something to put a 3k in and ended up building my own. I didn't find what I wanted from ica. I thought it would be funny to have a ham amp in a Davemade box.
 
CB amp trivia: Vern lost his business when he refused to allow his employees who were Native American the day off work for Indigenous Appreciation Day. They all quit on him and never returned. Question: who was Vern and what amps did he build?

we actually made up the first batches with same metal guy dave used in late80s. Not sure what Chris and Dave will decide on going forward . Worth a shot to reach out to Chris see if hell sell ya a case. Obviously, they are not from Tony , nor would he sell them as other suggested.

Not the same person.
That used to be his handle.
I have no idea what he does now.
Some of the old guys here, myself, Captian and Mole know who he is.

The picture of the 5 that 44 posted looks much better constructed than the 2 pill.
I might not be a big fan of class c comp amps, but I will say that the stuff that came from the real Dave was generally built well.
I can not say the same for some of the copy cat stuff that used to pop up.
