Thing with the Stryker is you don't having to go any extra steps for it to perform because it just does right out of the box! Other than frequency conversion that is
After the conversion there’s no need for alignment or tuning ? That’s pretty cool. How bout setting the DK on the variable?

By no means am I talking down the Lincoln because lots of folks love the rig and has great reviews. It's just worth noting that you have to put in a little work to make it an Am talker as to where the Stryker doesn't need mods to do it.

So what are you saying ? Go with the Stryker?

If your primary care is AM audio then get the stryker.
I like my Linc2+ and use it all during my work day to pass time as I drive from site to site. Its a jack of all trades master of none type radio. It can do FM, PL/DPL, repeater splits, 12meters, 10 meters, real VFO, CW.. If you don't care about those things then whats the point. It does good on SSB but some say it is bland on AM. Its surface mount so doing the mods that some smart members here came up with for AM might not be for the faint of heart. Its an all around OK ham radio that can do CB as well.
Stryker radios are from the get go for the CBer. CB guys want big AM and big SSB that can punch through pile ups. You can do more on the Linc then a stryker but you would have to work real hard to make the Linc sound as good as an out of box stryker on AM.

The Linc also needs a "mod" to work on CB. Out of the box it is a 12/10 meter ham radio.Your going to have to do that no matter which you pick.

Thanks . I never talked Ssb so I wonder if I would even like it. I can tell you all I ever talked on was a comp cobra 4 pill. Not to be a dick but I’m not to sure anyone out talked that radio while I’m in a conversation up and down the road. It’s a skip talking monster.
