I was in the market for a new radio 3 months ago and ended up with the CRT 9900 (also know by a few other brands) Like the German guy here says... "Nussing to complain."
This video does in depth test bench testing on many specifications. Very good radio for very little money. The clarifier is silent (no clicks). My only quirk with it is that the RF power knob does not have any effect on SSB power output levels, as such I use mic gain to drop my power out when required.
I have worked the vast majority of Europe in 3 months with the radio from the UK. Cyprus (2,000 miles), The Azores Pico island, Algeria N. Africa, Belarus, Croatia, Greece, Slovakia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Spain Portugal, Italy, Malta, Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Ireland, Scotland N.ireland, Balearic Islands,Poland, Serbia It has been working very nicely on SSB. I strongly suggest that you add a 40mm fan or 2 (I just super glued one on and it has stayed on fine) as the radio heat sink becomes untouchable after a long session.
I get many complements for my modulation.
