Time altered the schedule! Actually a contractor got in the way. Robin had stay Home due to bathroom renovation. OH well...life gets in the way! :)
Will most likely be at W8PR for the Open house at the contest station this Saturday. :)

Great day so far. Working off and on as I could, made exactly 50 contacts on Saturday before stopping for the night. 6 meters was open some during the 2:00 hour then died for the rest of the day here in Dixie. Made 2 contacts there. 10 was open okay before sundown, 15 was open a bit longer and made many contacts there. The rest were on 20,40 and 80. 20-40-80 open hugely and was shooting fish in a barrel when you could get through the pile ups. As usual, seemed like stations every KC and people all over each other. To be expected on the biggest event of the year. Good times. Will get in some more time Sunday for sure. Always fun

Might try to make a contact on 927.5 simplex. It's been many years since I actually went all in on FD, but a 927 contact is rare enough to make it fun again.
Off the field day topic but... I just programed a Kenwood TK 981 and have a diamond vertical to put up eventually. A local has a GE on 900mhz.. we have chatted a couple times. Also a machine about 30 miles south of me I'm going to try to get into. Its an interesting band that I'd like to see more activity on.

Add contacts in CT/VA/Del band trying to open for FD...NICE 6 meter opening

Had 90 minutes to work it Sunday morning before having to get to other things. Much easier making contacts than yesterday. Less crowding and stations stepping all over each. About 20 more on 40 and then checked 10. 10 was opening up nicely. Parked on a freq. and called. Got 55 stations in an hour. One right after the other. Fun stuff for sure. 125 total contacts for the FD Club Station. Gotta give the voice a rest now. Hope everyone had all the fun they could handle!
Got back Sunday afternoon from an activity at 1:30 and picked up 7 more on 15 meters. My total was 132 Contacts for a combined 3 hours of operating off and on Sat & Sun.
Talked to one pro who put in 17 hours and said he made 1,500 contacts .... Yikes !!!
